When I first got to UVA, I joined Survivor Club, which was a club based on the hit TV show that I’ve always loved. I soon became elected as editing chair of Survivor club, and with that I helped the club gain exposure through social media campaigns

When I became the editing chair at UVA, one of the members told me “Hey, it would be cool if you made a video showing what the club is about!” Above are some pictures that document the project’s first stage. I began by photographing myself and then isolated each figure, recoloring them into silhouettes in a yellowish-orange hue. I wanted to make it something where anyone could see themselves in the figure’s shoes, so I made it purposely made who the person was more vague. After a few days of work, I finished up the final animation below.

I was inspired by these really cool posters done by kickin on instagram, so I decided to do this for the players of Survivor at UVA for the upcoming season.
